My Philosophy

Who am I?
Just your average middle aged opinionated person from Alaska who after using several traffic exchange programs with various levels of frustration came to the conclusion I needed to hire a very good programmer to develop what I believe will become the best traffic exchange program on the net. Hence here we are.

Some of my opinions are:

  • Well-designed and run traffic exchange programs are a good way to advertise.

  • Most people are basically honest and making one error should not result in you loosing your account, especially without warning.

  • I believe in a system of rewards and penalties.

  • Those that do the most should receive the most rewards and those that break the rules should be penalized but not necessarily banned.

  • Members should be listened to.

  • I want to hear from members. What other bonus programs do you want to see? Do you have suggestions on how to make the system better?

  • Members and the merchants/programs they are promoting as well as advertisers deserve to be treated with respect.

  • Let's face it some programs are a sham and have earned the lack of respect but most are trustworthy.

  • Members who take the time to report sites that break the rules should receive the penalty credits deducted from the offenders' accounts.

  • Some of the credits I earn from personally sponsoring the first members in the program will be offered for sale to members. But much of it will also be returned to users as bonus credits.

  • I will send out weekly or bi-weekly email updates. I promise they will never include any advertising. After all I think you joined to earn traffic not be bombarded with junk mail.

  • I believe your site should be shown to each member no more than once per day.

  • I believe all members should be equal and all accounts should be free. That is why I do not offer a gold, silver, tin or plastic membership for sale.

  • I believe members from all countries and all languages should be able to view each other's sites in their language. We are working on this one and should have an affordable solution in place in the next few months.

  • I believe all information collected about a member should remain private. I will never sell, rent or loan any email addresses to others.

  • Several programs have experienced cheating problems with start page programs that is why this is a log in to surf traffic exchange program.

My rant about other programs

I am not saying that all of the other traffic exchange programs are bad. Some are good but several of them leave a lot to be desired.

If you want your hit counter to go wild I would suggest one of the automatic programs. You know the type that continues visiting sites three hours after you go to bed. The value of hits back to your site is minimal at best as they are also probably shown after that person went to bed or on vacation. These sites do make money as they sell a gazillion excess hits at very low prices, buyer beware. I did a test on one program and out of 5000 hits I received 126 unique visitors. Logic says I really only used 126 hits and 4874 went up in smoke.

Some traffic programs promise 2, 3 or even 4 hits back for each site you visit. Now think about it for a second, how can they give away 4 times the amount of traffic that is being generated unless they are indulging in some very questionable activities? On top of that they also promise a percentage of referrals usage plus they have traffic to sell. Chances are you will accumulate massive credits in your account but hits to your site will come very slowly. Are credits for credit sake of any true value?

Some programs have very short timers, which allow you to gain credits quickly but I question the quality of those credits. A program with a 10-15 second timer and an average page load time of 5 seconds makes your site viewable for only 5-10 seconds and the surfer will hit the next site button. Do you think the viewer really gets a good look at your site or even time to save it?

Why do some programs show you the same members' site 10 times in a row? Would you prefer to have 10 people see your site instead? I know I would.

Why do some programs stuff so much advertising in their emails that you stop reading them? Are those few extra ad dollars really that important?

Why do some programs delete your account for breaking an unwritten rule? If the rule is not worth their time to write it down is it really that important.

I may be the only person who has experienced these things but I do not believe I am.
